Introduction to Sand Carrier
Sand Carrier specially transports dry bulk cargo and is suitable for transporting bulk grains, building stones, ore sand, coal, etc. The boat is not installed with hoisting equipment but completes loading and unloading of cargo by the hoisting equipment or loading and unloading machinery on the dock. Generally a flatboat has one cargo space only. The hatch is wide; the top of the cargo space is totally open; it is a rectangular cabin-shaped structure. Most hulls are large and the cargo space volume is huge. The engine room and the superstructure are located in the tail, so the boat is tail type ship.
